Analysis of attractiveness in Xuan Dieu’s poem Rush

Analysis of attractiveness in Xuan Dieu’s poem Rush

Instruct

In Vietnamese Poets (1941). Hoai Thanh has made a correct comment about a feature of Xuan Dieu’s poetry: “Xuan Dieu’s poetry is still an unprecedented life in a quiet country, now Xuan Dieu is passionate about love, passionate about the sky. , living in a hurry, wanting to enjoy his short life. When happy as well as sad, people are passionate. earnest.”

This can be seen most clearly in the article Rush, drawn from the collection of Poetry.

The beginning of the poem. Xuan Dieu expressed a strange and extravagant aspiration:

I want the sun stop shining

Let the color not fade away;

I want to tie the wind

Let the incense not fly away.

In the new poetry village, Che Lan Vien sees life as “all meaningless” as suffering. Disliked spring, this young man wanted to stop its footsteps with what was left of the previous autumn. Falling yellow leaves, dying petals, with the whole “collection of ideas” create a mental barrier, to “block the path of spring”. In the song “Hurry”, Xuan Dieu seems to have a different attitude: the poet also wants to usurp the creator’s right, “want to turn off the sun”, “want to tie the wind”, but let the fragrance of spring “don’t be” fly away”. With alliteration and sentence structure, the poet successfully expressed that powerful idea

The reason for that strange desire is because, in the eyes of the poet, spring is full of charm, full of charm:

This butterfly’s honey is here week after month;

Behold, the flowers of the green fields;

Behold, the leaves of the branches flutter;

This brother’s nest is a love song.

Spring – the season of love and life has entered poetry for thousands of years, but before Xuan Dieu, perhaps no one has had similar quatrains and poems. This is a beautiful spring, butterflies and bees flutter, birds sing, young leaves flutter on branches, flowers bloom in the fields. It is worth mentioning that everything seems to be full of life, harmonious and happy. By using flexibly and rapidly using allusions and alliterations (”of’, ‘this is’); the above lines give the reader the impression of a full spring, endlessly rich nature like waiting, like an invitation, ready to give everything to people.

Just as in the autumn scene in This autumn comes spring branches in this poem are discovered with passionate eagerness, all is new and surprised in the eyes of the passionate poet, eager to live.

The most daring, most refreshing is probably the next few verses:

And here is the blinking light.

Every morning, the body is always happy to knock;

January is as delicious as a pair of ribbed lips.

Every morning, the poet wakes up and opens his eyes to witness a new and beautiful scene. The morning light shines brightly on the world. That source of light seemed to come from the beautiful eyes of a young woman, each time she blinked her eyelashes. In an engraved poem, Xuan Dieu regained this sexy image:

The new shirt is also drunk with the color of the wind and water;

Long eyelashes moving with happy sunshine.

(First Spring)

Readers also encounter the above expression in the short story Leh, printed in the book Truong Ca (1945): “When the excitement is intense, the light dominates the whole space, embraces the universe’s feet, crushes the darkness under the millionth. The eyelashes of the light are so long, the rays of the light are so full (…) the light stands in one place where the electric eye is everywhere.

However, making the most fresh and beautiful impression is the sentence: “January is as delicious as a pair of close lips”. Here, the poet has a very bold comparison, in favor of feeling, making a strong impression on the reader. Under Xuan Dieu’s “young green” eyes, spring seems to be a charming, rosy, loving, attractive girl..

Through the above comparison, we can see that the person here is a young woman – a miraculous product of nature, considered by Xuan Dieu as the standard of all beauty in this world. Stemming from that aesthetic concept, Xuan Dieu created many healthy, novel and lively verses with deep human meaning, which we have probably never seen before:

… Willow leaves are as long as an eyelash…

… The wind that breathes like a lover’s chest…

… Cloudy love like old poets…

Ancient poetry, often taking nature as a standard for human beauty, the beauty of the Kieu medic Nguyen Du compared with nature: eyes as clear as autumn water, eyebrows as delicate as spring mountains; causing “jealous flowers to lose, willows to be less green”. As for Thuy Van’s gracious beauty, it is likened to “the full moon. His features are full of bloom, – The flower smiles and the pearls are dignified – The clouds lose to the water, the hair and the snow give way to the skin color”… (Kieu Tale). From the standard conception of beauty as nature to the standard conception of beauty as human, there is a difference of many centuries.

Thus, at the beginning of the poem, with “young green” “blue eyes” eyes, Xuan Dieu looked at life and things with many differences compared to the “old poets”. He discovered that there are many new, lovely, and precious things in nature and in ordinary people around us.

How beautiful and fascinating the earth move! But no one can live forever to enjoy all the pleasures. Years go by, the age of youth goes away and never comes back, it’s really “time to eat life”. “Spring is coming, which means spring is passing – Spring is young, it means spring will be old.” Therefore, this poet “doesn’t wait for the summer sun to never forget spring”.

In fact, ancient poetry has many lamentations about the finiteness of human life. The old man once considered life passing by as quickly as the shadow of a horse through the window. But the ancients did not panic because of that. They believe that the universe is cyclic, time goes back, and humans are a quarter of the universe that will add to the eternity of heaven and earth. People of the times, of new poetry, Xuan Dieu see time. There is no return and the universe is an objective world independent of humans. With a deep awakening of the old consciousness, the poet feels more deeply than anyone the pitiful truth: “Youth is not twice absorbed”; Even if the spring of heaven and earth keeps circulating, the universe can be eternal

At this point, the excitement in the upper part seems to have disappeared, giving way to a sadness and regret for the beautiful life in this world. Sadness here is just another expression of the desire to live, the love that demands passionately. This intense feeling has been skillfully expressed by the charming images and colors of spring, which we more or less met at the beginning of the poem.

The beautiful wind whispers in the green leaves,

Are you angry because you have to fly away?

See more: What are your thoughts on human love?

The birds were so excited that they suddenly stopped singing,

Fear of impending doom?

The above verses, together with the previous ones, have contributed to perfecting the picture of a young and beautiful spring in the poet’s passionate eyes.

Is it because of being very aware that nothing can prevent the silent but hasty walk of spring – of human life, so in the poet’s mind: the more splendid the spring scene becomes – the more life is worth living, much adorable?

This explains the author’s extravagant desire to usurp the creator’s right to be able to “turn off the sun” and “tie the wind” at the beginning of the poem.

And of course, this aspiration can never come true. The poet who wants to live also defeats the force, and then also has to obey the harsh laws of heaven and earth. Therefore, there is only one way to live in a hurry, in a hurry, to make the most of every second and every minute of youth. This bold idea is expressed in a fresh way. The following last stanza is the artistic conclusion of the whole poem, focusing on the highlights of Xuan Dieu’s poetic style:

I want to hug

The whole new life begins to blossom;

I want to take the clouds away. and the wind blows,

I want to intoxicate butterflies with love.

I want to collect in one soul a lot

And the water, and the trees, and the grass,

Filled with fragrance, filled with light,

Satisfy the beauty of the fresh age;

– O red spring, I want to bite you!

Here, from the way of squeezing sentences, to the art of using allusions, from the use of many bold images in favor of feeling, to the enthusiastic and vibrant rhythm of the poem, all contribute to boldly expressing the desire to live. the author’s infatuation. It is true that he wanted to become a needle to suck in the world” as The Lu commented.

Rush is indeed a typical poem of a great poet who always longs to be in touch with life. Although there may be different ways of feeling the work, but in general, the poem has helped most readers love life more, enjoy overflowing happiness, and appreciate youth forever. Now come back, to know how to live so that you don’t have to regret the years of living forever and living a wasteful life
